gravBoots

The antigravity footwear that lets Gold soldiers fly. It's a common way for Golds to arrive and a less common way to get killed.

The Tinpots of Lykos use them to float above a crowd, so authority arrives from overhead. They can lift a man in a starShell along with a heavy load.

They are a common enough sight in the Society's cities and at every level of its armies. Combat in them is a matter of three dimensions, and the Golds train for it from childhood. The Howlers make a speciality of using them in places where their enemies don't expect anyone to fly.
