The event that turns Darrow from a Helldiver into something else.

Carving
The art of the Violet fleshcarvers, who can remake a body in almost any way, from a cosmetic adjustment up to a Color change, and can do it to order.
Year 2-3
The Institute
The Society's elite school, in which young Golds are divided up into twelve houses named for gods, and turned loose in a valley to enslave one another. Winners gain patrons. The losers may not live.
About two years after the Institute
The Summit
The grand assembly of the Golds of Mars, and the point at which a private feud becomes a civil war.
End of the Mars civil war
The Feast
A celebration of Augustus's victory on Mars, at the close of Golden Son.
After the feast
The Box
A place where the Jackal puts the man who embarrassed him. It's about the size of a coffin, kept in the dark.
Late in the Rising
Ilium
