The Abomination

The Abomination is a young clone of Adrius au Augustus, raised by Lilath. He regards Virginia as his sister and claims the identity of Adrius, while possessing a separate upbringing and experience.
He says the original Adrius left Lilath genetic samples, instructions and recordings as a contingency. Lilath sought Zanzibar's help and carried the clone herself. She raised him on stories about the Jackal and the Boneriders.
After the Day of Red Doves, he appears before Virginia and the captured Vox leaders. He takes control through Publius, whom he keeps as a puppet. He claims the coup as his own design and uses the Boneriders to hold Virginia and the captured Howlers.
He has Min-Min and other Howlers burned inside an iron wolf to punish Sevro's defiance. He threatens to erase Sevro's memories of his family. Virginia later distracts him with a discussion of the original Adrius and their childhood puzzles, then poisons him with a night lily and escapes.
Sevro reports that the threatened destruction of his memories was never carried out. He does not know whether the Abomination and Lilath still hold Pebble and Clown. The Abomination's later fate is not established.
