The Solar Republic
The fragile democracy founded after the Rising, combining the free Colors of Mars, Luna and Earth. It's governed by a Senate, by the Sovereign Mustang, and by a constant emergency.
A decade on it is running out of money and goodwill. The Senate is divided, the The Vox Populi want the low Colors to have their promised justice, and refugees are being kept in camps like the one Lyria is sent to. The Reaper's refusal to stop fighting doesn't help.
The Republic comes close to collapse in the crisis on Luna.
